Visit the Memorial every time i'm in home. it's one of the best hometown memorials i've seen. Back when it ws being built y'all were selling t-shirts and either my Sister or my Ma bought one for me. it's about seen it's better days. do you still sell them? thanks

LCPL Ronald Keith Pennington was my uncle. He was lost on April 27, 1967 in a crash over the South China Sea, Vietnam. Our family has searched for any information about him to no avail. If anyone has information it would be greatly appreciated. My father was Sgt Eugene Pennington and died in 2001. We never questioned him much as it was to painful for him to recall memories of the Vietnam War.

Greetings to All, The website is a wonderful tribute. I hope the paint job on the Huey is holding up well. Glad to find out that the Huey has a name and a history! Super Slick! That's really unique. I was surprised after all these years to find this out. We didn't know anything at all back in 1996 except one flight log from 1972 stuck behind the map case that was found during repainting. The VN veterans of Marion County have done a magnificent job in restoring & honoring SUPER SLICK and her crew, congratulations. Congrats also to Don Feigel for his documentary FATES CALL about Huey '109 and the crew reuniting in 2013. Outstanding piece of film & story.

We enjoyed our visit to this wonderful tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in an unpopular war. They served so others would not have to and gave their lives for our country. Thank you Danny Green for the personal tour. It was greatly appreciated.

The park looks great! I hope many people can come, share memories, and reflect upon the freedoms we have because of these fallen heroes. My small part for the park came from an unusual source; I posed for the three statues in the front of the park. My grandfather did not serve in Vietnam (he was in Korea) and he was not from Marion County either but it was a great honor to do this for the Vietnam Veterans of Marion County.

I am a little slow in getting to the web site, but want to compliment on a job well done. It brings back memories of wonderful family times and sadness when I saw picture of Aunt Skipper. For people who don't know, I grew up next door to my cousin "Buddy Jr." (Greene) who was killed in the WAR. Again, thanks to all of you for the hard work you did. But most of all, thank all veterans and their familys for supporting our country; They made and make the most sacrifice.
