Thank you so much for putting this site together. I am far from home and it may be some time before I can come see the memorial - and my uncle Clyde Hall's name there - in person. It's nice to be able to see it from afar via the 'net.

Very nice website. The memorial park looks beautiful. Will plan to visit when I'm in that area.

Thank you to Donna Greene Yearsley for sharing this site with me. It was a sad time for all of us in the 1960s to see so many of our friends and loved ones lost in the war... but not forgotten. Laura Hinkle Orem

I flew as a Door Gunner on Super Slick. Thanks to Jeff Greene, on April 28, 2012, along with my Crew Chief Tom Feigel, I was reunited with Super Slick after more than 40 years. I would like to thank all those that came out to meet us and made the reunion that much more special and meaningful. It is hard to put into words how much pride I feel knowing that Super Slick is in such a place of honor. It is very humbling to know that Super Slick is now part of a Memorial to our Fallen Heroes. Thank you to all that served and especially to those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Great site and memorial. One clarification though. On your "Vietnam" page, it should be noted that Danny G. Marshall is also a West Virginian. This can be verified at the WV Archives Database at He was a native of Wood County.

I would like to thank everyone who helped to make this memorial possible. It is a place of refuge and thought. I hope you get many people to order the Purple Heart bricks. Your dinners on the 3d Sunday are also great and people that haven't made it there yet don't know what they are missing. Stay healthy and safe, Nino

The Memorial is a great tribute To veterans everywhere. I also really like your web site. I received the address from Tom Wilkes who was a doorgunner on that very aircraft. I was a pilot on that aircraft which we called 'Super Slick'. The aircraft was assigned to the 336 Assualt Helicopter Company based in Soc Trang RVN. I was there in 1970 and the aircraft was already there. I promise you your helicopter has a very proud and eventful history in that war. Thank you for remembering.
